Day 2 and 3 antibiotics

Saturday, July 28, 2012

This is the first post I'm making from my phone so bare with me if there is bad grammar. (stupid auto correct)
Day 2 was rough. Caroline wouldn't eat any solid food and we had to put up a pretty good fight to keep her fever down... she didn't fuss very much though.
Day 3 you can see an obvious change. She isn't pulling on her ears any more and she actually ate some apple sauce and squash... not very much but at least she ate some. She is up and playing and moving around today. Which is fantastic! Plus no fever so far!

ER trip last night

Friday, July 27, 2012
Well, yesterday Caroline developed a fever and an even worse cough. Worse though was that she wasn't taking any solid food and had thrown up 3 of her bottles...So we called down to the Children's hospital and they wanted us to take her into the ER to the hospital here in town. Her oxygen levels were good. 98% and her fever had dropped down during the five hour ER visit. She wasn't dehydrated at all either. Found out she went from ear infection to double ear infection and bronchitis. Other than her crying(which is more like a whisper now than anything) they thought she was good enough to go home :)
We just have to watch her carefully and check in with her primary on Monday. It's so surprising how she can go from happy, active baby to super sleepy, sad baby. On a happier note I think she was flirting with the EMT. She kept smiling and hiding her face from him. Her cheeks even turned red! lol

Cystic Fibrosis Songs

Thursday, July 26, 2012
So I was surfing the internet looking for more links too add to the blog and I found this song.
If you download it on itunes Joe Bayer Band will donate 20% of the sale price of each song sold to finding a cure!

This one is written by a man who has Cystic Fibrosis. Citizen Aim. Its the only one of these three songs that writer has CF. Very creative lyrics!

This last one made me break down and cry. My sister just turned 4 and she asks why Carebear(Caroline) has "65 roses" all the time...
The Wolverines sing this one. It's about him not understanding why his sister had "65 roses" and why it was hard for her to breathe until he grew up and realized it was a disease and not actually 65 roses.
